After the anti-planking bill that caught everyone's attention, another bill was passed by Winston Castelo against the famous online game, Angry Birds. Castelo seeks to ban the quantity of merchandise of Angry Birds.
The lawmaker have gotten an idea for the bill when he went shopping for Christmas gifts at the mall and noticed the flood of Angry Birds items.
"Everywhere I looked, Angry Birds this, Angry Birds that! Where is the product diversity? Shouldn’t the DTI be monitoring this?" -- Yahoo PH News
The bill was filed to monitor quality and quantity of the merchandise bearing the angry birds likeness. It will prohibit stores from selling more than two kinds of Angry Birds items with violators facing a confinement for six months.
Honestly, I bought Angry Birds merchandise because I like them and they're cute. However, passing the bill just because of one selfishness makes most of the people be mad like the Angry Birds especially for those people who sell those merchandise. I guess those people who sell the merchandise knew that those lovely Angry Birds is a hit that everyone plays the game, and can earn money from it. They're only making money for survival just like everyone does.
